Xining is the capital of Qinghai province which is the origin of three great rivers( Yangtze river, Yellow river and Lanchang river( also named as Mekong river in Burma ,Vietname,Thailand). The train trip from Lhasa to Lanzhou provides an opportunity to experience the newly-built Qinghai-Tibet Railway and the breathtaking sceneries along the train ride. Day 1 Xining-Lhasa
The representative from CTE will come to meet you at the hotel and then transfer you to the train station,take the train N917 at 20:07Pm starting your Qinghai-Tibet train journey.

Day 2 Lhasa arrival
Appreciate the scenery along the Qinghai-tibet railway, the highest railway in the world.The series of snow-capped mountains, the endless highland grassland, the nature reserve and the originating place of several rivers etc. Arrive in Lhasa at about 10:00Pm.Meet the tour guide from CTE then go to the hotel.

Day 3 Lhasa sightseeing
Visit the main tourist attractions in Lhasa:Potala Palace, Jokhang Temple and Barkhor Street.

Day 4 Lhasa sightseeing
In the morning, drive to Yangpachen,the hot spring, en route see the Northern Tibet Grassland, and the Yangpachen geothermal power plant, then go to Namtso lake,one of the three holy lakes in Tibet,then back to Lhasa,overnight in Lhasa.(Visiting Namtso is available only in summer and autumn)

Day 5 Lhasa Departure
Transfer to the airport to catch your plane for the next destination, end tour.
