Known as the World Roof, Tibet is always a dreaming land to many people. Lhasa placed at an elevation of 3,597 Mts. is the second highest capital in the world after La Paz, Bolivia (3,660 Mts.). One of the most magnificent Royal Palaces anywhere in the world - the Potala Palace former home of the Dalai Lamas, is built on top of a rock in 1645 and has over 1000 rooms, 10,000 shrines and 2,00,000 religious statues.

Day 1: Chengdu - Lhasa by flight
Meet at Chengdu Airport in the morning. Fly to Lhasa. Arriving at Lhasa Gongar Airport, meet local guide and transferred to Lhasa city, Check in and have a good rest, overnight in Lhasa.

Day 2: Lhasa Full Day city Tour
We suggest you have a selftour today in Lhasa city if you don"t have a serious high altitude sickness,the main tourist attractions in Lhasa:
Potala Palace, Norbulingka - the Summer Palace ,Jokhang Temple and Barkhor Street,Ramoche Temple ,Drepung Monastery and Sera Monastery
Tips: If you are not interested in the Tibetan temple, one temple can make you an overall impression, and taking photography only outside of the others is a good solution. However, the Barkhor Street is worth visiting, it is the Tibetan market, the vendors sell Tibetan handicrafts, souvenir and daily commodities for local people.

Day 3: Lhasa-Namtso Lake-Lhasa
Day tour to Namtso Lake via Yangpachen hot-spring. On the way you will see Nyenchen Thanglha snow mountain ranges, and also you will pass the Nagela Pass. Namtso Lake is the sky lake which is one of the three holy lakes, and also the highest salt lake. You can do a bit trekking at the lake side . On the way back , you will have a chance to have hot-spring at Yangbachen. Overnight in Lhasa .

Day 4: Lhasa-Yamdrok lake-Gyangtze-Shigatse
Drive from Lhasa to Shigatse (about 350km). On the way visit Yamdrok Lake, Nojin Kangtsang Glacier near Karola Pass.Overnight in Shigatse.

Day 5: Tashilhunpo Monastery - Lhasa
Visit Tashilunpo Monastery which is the site of Panchan Lama,built by the first Dalai Lama in 1447.Have a visit to the local market near the monastery. Drive back to Lhasa in the afternoon.

Day 6: Lhasa - Chengdu
Leave from Lhasa to Chengdu by flight,end tour.
