Aug.28 Day 1 Chengdu - Lhasa by flight
Departing from Chengdu to Lhasa in the morning,arriving at Lhasa Gonggar Airport which is at a elevation of 3000 meters, guide will meet you at the airport,drive to Lhasa urban area, en route visit Brahmaputra valley, Buddha Sculpture made in the 11th century and Tibetan village etc.on the drive to Lhasa and check in the Hotel,have a good rest in the Lhasa city today, avoid extreme physical activity and sickness of high altitude.Dinner and supper excluded, overnight in Lhasa.

Aug.29 Day 2: Lhasa Full Day city Tour

Potala Palace, Norbulingka - the Summer Palace ,Jokhang Temple and Barkhor Street,Ramoche Temple ,Drepung Monastery and Sera Monastery
Tips: If you are not interested in the Tibetan temple, one temple can make you an overall impression, and taking photography only outside of the others is a good solution. However, the Barkhor Street is worth visiting, it is the Tibetan market, the vendors sell Tibetan handicrafts, souvenir and daily commodities for local people.

Aug.30 Day 3: Shoton festival enjoyment
Today will be the first day of Shoton Festival, in the past, this festival was a purely religious celebration, later in the rule of 5th Dalai Lama, this festival was open a little to some people with high social status, with time going on, this festival becomes a common public celebration held in Drepung monastery first, then move to Norbulinka palace.
In the morning of this day, early visit to Drepung monastery(If it is still closed,other places instead) to join the grand opening ceremony -- Sunning the Tangkha (a huge woven hangings ), this ceremony marks the official set-off of this festival. In the afternoon, visit Sera Monastery.

Aug 31 Day 4: Lhasa-Yamdrok lake-Gyangtze-Shigatse
Drive from Lhasa to Shigatse (about 350km). On the way visit Yamdrok Lake, Nojin Kangtsang Glacier near Karola Pass.Overnight in Shigatse.

Sep 1 Day 5: Tashilhunpo Monastery - Lhasa
Visit Tashilunpo Monastery which is the site of Panchan Lama,built by the first Dalai Lama in 1447.Have a visit to the local market near the monastery. Drive back to Lhasa in the afternoon.

Sep 2 Day 6: Lhasa - Chengdu
