Qinghai is situated in northeast of Qinghai-Tibet Plateau and has an average altitude over 3,000m. Many attractions are worth to pay a visit such as Kokonor Lake--the largest inland alpine salt lake in China, Kumbum Monastery--one of the six great mo nateries of Gelukpa (Yellow Sect) of Tibetan Buddhism.
