A special bus route No. 919 runs directly to Badaling National Forest Park for visitors’ convenience to enjoy the enchanting red leaves of autumn in Beijing, said Lai Huiwu, the Director of Badaling National Forest Park in the opening ceremony of the annual Red Leaves Festival on Wednesday.
Due to the lower temperature, the leaves in the Badaling National Forest Park turn red about half a month earlier than those in the urban Beijing. This weekend is expected to be the best time to admire the charming red leaves.
Bus No.919 runs directly from Deshengmen to the Badaling National Forest Park. It takes about 50 minutes to finish the 37-mile-long-trip.The first bus departs from Deshengmen at 6:00a.m. The last run is at 12:00 a.m. The first return run from the park is at 9:30a.m. The last return bus leaves from the park at 3:30 p.m. The buses run every 20 minutes. If there are more passengers, the buses will run immediately after the seats are full taken. The ticket price is 12 CNY cash. Each ticket charges CNY 4.8 for an adult and CNY 2.4 for a student respectively if the payment is made by public transportation card.
In addition, the park has added 1,500 parking spaces.
